I'm a professor in Software Systems, here in the department of Informatics at Sussex. My research interests focus on how to design networked computer systems and applications so as to best support the user, an approach I term user-centred networking. Recent work includes the design and deployment of a pocket-switched network for a football stadium, trust management, MPTCP, and the design of pervasive computing applications. I'm proud to be a member of the Foundation of Software Systems group.
I am currently Head of Department.
